They then allow owners of these affiliated properties to buy membership, which will allow them to trade within this network. This method works well because owners can choose to purchase membership each year. It also tends to be more flexible and less expensive than the other alternative, which is to own with a vacation club like the Hyatt timeshare program. However, exchange clubs do not have the same guarantee of quality that you'll find when you are an owner/member of a vacation club.
Vacation Clubs Guarantee a Consistency of Quality
Like their hotelier counterparts, vacation club timeshare programs will have properties all over the world. Ownership at one generally guarantees access to all of the resorts in the network. Big name resort corporations generally also ensure a certain level of quality and consistence that you wont find with exchange companies. When you buy Wyndham timeshare in one locale, you can always expect to trade for lodgings of equal quality.
